Dakota D. Carman is eleven—already and only eleven. He is interested in anything Egyptian from the pharaohs, to gods, to pyramids and treasures. He loves music. He is a rock-n-roll throwback, a fan of hair bands and heavy metal, qualities obtained from his father. His passion of art extends to many other types of music including jazz and his saxophone, as well as poetry and drawing. Dakota often claims to have headaches caused by having a sister. He can do several back flips, push-ups, or sit-ups in a row. If you talk to him, he will look away and smile; it is up to you to figure out why. Dakota Carman is an eleven-year-old poet who has recently traded in his rock-n-roll haircut for a wide mohawk with stripes shaved in the sides.
Most of Dakota's poetry is written for readings with Spoon River Creative Writers. He writes about the things he observes and has been published in The Truth Lies in the Tell.
