~Karen S. Lynch~

Karen’s passion for writing blossomed in High School through the encouragement of her English teacher, Richard DeBaugh who still mentors her. She is writing a book “Searching for Sandburg,” dedicated to Mr. DeBaugh. She won a DAR award for an essay “What America Means to Me”and was published in a national magazine, as well as working on local papers.

Karen is a former employee of Maytag and has a deep interest in photography, which she excells at. She continues to be involved in journalism in the Galesburg area.

Karen’s hobbies include writing, photography, and gardening. Owned by her white cat Snowelle, a.k.a. dumb cat, that sleeps under the covers with her at night.
