~Rich Hanson~

Living in Monmouth, Illinois, Rich feels fortunate to be able to belong to writing groups in both Burlington, Iowa and Galesburg, Illinois, which allows him to attend whichever his work and baseball schedules permit.

Rich writes both short stories and poetry.  Rich's work can be found on ABCTales.com, where two of his short stories, "Mrs. Draper's Christmas Letter" and "The Slaughter Plant," won Story of the Week and where his short fiction is posted and was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Rich has also won awards from Carl Sandburg College for his prose and poetry and took and Edgar home from the Edgar Lee Masters Poetry Festival. Minor League baseball and history are two of his interests. Check out Rich’s autograph column or Eternal Fascination, a virtual graveyard that features historical figures he admires or finds interesting.

You may also view Rich's poetry on poemhunter.com.
