Ron Hunt has been writing poems for about 35 years and focuses on rural topics, particularly in the Alexis-Galesburg area. He grew up on a nearby farm. Hunt is the Humanities/Social Sciences Office Assistant at Carl Sandburg College and teaches creative writing and a watercolor class. A graduate of CSC, Monmouth College and Sangamon State University, he finds inspiration in the subtle hills and creek valleys, fields, buildings and everyday trappings of life in the Western Illinois scene.
